Terms and Conditions – Industry Ready Student Registration

Completing the IR Student Registration process is an acknowledgment that you have read and agree to abide by the following:

  1. I am eligible as a student candidate for Industry Ready services, including professional training and development workshops and may lead to full-time, part-time or occasional job opportunities because I have a student ID for 2022 from a New Zealand tertiary institution.
  2. I am eligible as a student candidate for jobs and internships provided by IR because I have a current student ID from an NZ tertiary institution. I finished studying at a New Zealand tertiary institution less than 12 months ago, and I hold a valid visa that allows me to work in New Zealand.
  3. I am legally able to work in NZ.
  4. I agree to abide by the IR Code of Conduct for events.
  5. As much as possible, I will participate in the IR workshops and programmes to get upskilled on professional and technical topics.
  6. I understand that if I register for events but fail to attend, this may result in me being banned from future event attendance. If my plans change and I am unable to participate in an event I registered for, I will log in and withdraw my registration within 2 hours of the event start time. If an emergency arises and I’m unable to cancel my registration, I will contact the IR team to let them know about my event no-show as soon as possible.
  7. I will complete my profile, including uploading accurate Information to the IR website, including my CV/portfolio, skills matrix, academic results (screenshot is ok), and cover letter.
  8. I understand that Industry Ready respects the privacy of my personal information. I understand that Employers in the programmes I have opted into will be able to see the Information on my profile (except for the statistical, demographic Information about gender & ethnicity, which is just for IR anonymous reporting purposes).

  10. I will participate in the recruitment process by expressing an interest in projects on the IR website and attending the Meet and Greet session(s). I will make myself available and attend physical or record video interviews if I am selected.
  11. If I receive an offer, I understand that the terms of employment are to be negotiated between my employer and me and that the IR team are available to support the process.
  12. I understand and agree that having a completed profile on the IR website means I am available for IR roles. If my availability changes, I will immediately withdraw from all IR programmes.
  13. I understand that it is HIGHLY unprofessional to withdraw from the IR Internship programme between Meet & Greet and Offers Day because employers will be investing enormous resources, time & energy in the shortlisting & interview process. If I am shortlisted after Meet & Greet, I will do everything in my power to remain available between then and Offers Day.
  14. Throughout my participation period will be a professional employee and ambassador for the IR programme.
